Mathieu is a science educator, public speaker, researcher, artist and content creator, known for his talks and videos, in which science, humour and music collide.​
​Mathieu is a pluricultural researcher, artist and content creator.

Since 2018, he is a PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research in Laurent Department. There, he works on the development of the chromatophores motor control system of cephalopods, a project at the intersection between development, neuroscience and behavior.

In 2020, Mathieu created his own Youtube channel, Dr. NEMO, where he mixes his passion for science with music and art, for an explosive cocktail of fun. The channel contains 30+ videos on topics ranging from marine biology to physics to history.

During TEDx Frankfurt 2022, Mathieu gave his talk "Yes, you can be an octopus too", about the incredible camouflage superpowers of cephalopods and how these animals influenced his career and life.
