Hi, my name is Mathieu. I am a young researcher working on the development of genetic tools in cephalopods.
Born in Belgium, raised in Sicily and trained in France, it is hard for me to tell you where I am from exactly. I like to think of myself as a citizen of the World and I believe my home is wherever I am. For now, I settled down in Frankfurt, Germany, where I am pursuing my studies with a PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research in Laurent Department. Here I work at the edge between genetics, neuroscience and behaviour. My fields of interest cover different areas: from marine biology to astrophysics, from photography to acting. I am also a musician and a scientific illustrator. |
